Some 277 homes have been approved for development in Salford.

The development is being built on the former Farmer Norton car park on Cleminson Street, as part of the ongoing regeneration of the Crescent area of the city.

It was submitted by ECF, a partnership between Homes England, L&G and nationwide placemaker Muse.

Steve Thomas, senior development manager at ECF, said: “With planning consent received, we look forward to making a start on the next community in Adelphi Village.

“These future-proofed, high-quality homes are key to the creation of a sustainable, mixed tenure neighbourhood that meets the needs of different people in the Crescent area.

“Working as a partnership, we’re utilising our experience in investment, housing and urban regeneration to deliver homes that prioritise the health and wellbeing of communities, whilst addressing the urgent requirements for quality housing in Salford.”

The plans for Farmer Norton Phase 1 feature 42 three-bedroom homes, with Phase 2 delivering 185 one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

Farmer Norton forms part of Adelphi Village, which will provide more than 800 homes as part of the wider Crescent Salford masterplan being delivered by the Crescent Partnership, formed of Salford City Council, the University of Salford and ECF.
