Housebuilder Briar Homes has started work on a residential development in Kennoway in Fife, which has been named ‘Weavers View’.

The project will deliver 137 homes with £40 million of investment, of which 123 will be for sale and 14 for social rent for Fife Council.

The development will offer three- and four-bedroom homes.

Paul Kelly, managing director of Briar Homes, said: “We’re excited to reveal the name Weavers View as we start work on site.

“Kennoway has a rich history and a strong sense of community, and these new homes will provide much-needed housing for first-time buyers and growing families.

“The name celebrates the village’s heritage while looking forward to its future.”

The village was historically known for weaving, shoemaking and malting, which is why Weavers View was chosen as the name.

The development is located on the eastern edge of Kennoway, north of Levern Road, with access to nearby Leven and Methil, local schools, and scenic green spaces including Kennoway Den.

Briar Homes has a £10 million package from Bank of Scotland.
