Block management firm LRPM has created a specialist practice focusing on high rise residential blocks.
There are now separate regulations for buildings over 80 metres tall following the Grenfell Tower disaster of 2017, meaning there’s more of a need for specialists in the field.
LRPM has recruited a dedicated fire safety expert to support the new practice, while staff have been trained on new regulations.
Letitia Randell, founder of LRPM, said: “The high-rise sector represents a growing and extremely important area of our business.
“The added complexity of managing tower blocks in today’s regulatory environment means this has become a genuine specialism that is highly valued by our residents and building owners.
“The post-Grenfell legislative changes have fundamentally altered the landscape for high rise residential management.
“We recognised early on that this sector would require dedicated expertise and resources, which is why we’ve invested in specialist personnel and comprehensive training across our entire team.”
The firm has doubled high-rise residential blocks under management in six months.
LRPM manages a portfolio of more than 100 buildings with more than 1,000 residents living in high rise blocks.
